SATELLINE Programming Components

Programming Adapter
Part Number: YC0202 for 3AS(d) YC0204 for EPIC

Configuration SATELLINE radio modems with the flip of a switch. Connect directly to the radio modem, a serial cable connects from the adapter to a PC.

SATELLINE Programming Adapter ARS-1F is required for PC configuration of SATELLINE UHF & VHF models

Serial Cable
Part Number: YC0201

Required to connect the programming adapter to a laptop or PC, this is a standard 6 ft.9-Pin Male/Female RS-232 cable.

DB-9 Male/Female serial cable- Nothing special about it, but one is required for programming. A USB to Serial Adapter may be used in place.

This simple application allows complete configuration of a single modem, or an entire network and includes tools for addressing, viewing data flow, updating modem firmware, testing, and more. The User's Guide is available here.

SATELLINE Programming

     Programming of SATELLINE radio modems is completely menu driven and very simple to perform through a variety of methods. Complete details of radio programming are intricately covered in the User's Guide.

  • Radio modems with a display are programmable directly through the interface without any additional hardware.

  • All SATELLINE radio modems are programmable using a programming adapter and SaTerm configuration software to access the communication settings and special features. Other terminal software may also be used to access the radios modems internal menu.

  • In a typical configuration, the programming adapter is connected to a power supply, the radio modem and a PC by way of a standard RS-232 serial cable.
