     Modern facilities have mobile automated equipment ranging from automatically guided pick-n-place vehicles; to trucks, carts, gantries, barcode scanners, positioning sensors, switches and many more devices that keep merchandise moving.

     The methods of controlling AGV movement come in a variety of types ranging from position feedback loops using sensors, encoders, and limiting devices; to free roaming high accuracy RTK GPS positioning; or simply back and forth on a rail or track system.

     Absolute mobility is accomplished by removing the binding copper communications cables which are often limited in length, subject to binding and cutting, and can be costly to install or modify.
